Guests at the 2025 Birthday Ball at the Best Western had a great time. James Hardy Photography was there to capture the event in photographs and to provide attendees to have their special photographs. This gallery will be available until January 15, 2026. Join us for our General Meetings which are held once a month on the fourth Tuesday. We always start with a social gathering at 6:00pm. The business meeting begins at 6:30pm and we typically wrap up the business meeting by 7:30pm. | The Gator Detachment is made up primarily of Marine veterans and friends. We formed in Alachua County in 1998. Our members are from Gainesville, Alachua, Archer, High Springs, Keystone Heights, Hawthorne and other surrounding towns. Our members were Marines and Corpsmen of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, as well as peacetime Marines. We are men and women. We were grunts, logistics, artillery, admin, supply, operations, cooks and many other MOS's, but we were all riflemen and Marines. We now exist to serve not only as a group where Marines of all eras bond together, but unite in efforts to do things for our community. Joined with us are men and women who were not Marines but choose to serve beside us, helping us in our missions. Check us out. |
HOT RODDING FOR HEROES CAR SHOW DEC 6THJoin us on Saturday, December 6th at the High Springs Brewery as we host the Hot Rodding For Heroes Car Show. The event will start at 10:00am and continue until 2:00pm. See the beautiful vehicles of the various car clubs and local enthusiasts as they shine them up, then line them up for you to appreciate their love of these cars, trucks and motorcycles. HUNGRY? No worries! There will be food trucks there and the nearby Prohibition Pizza welcomes all visitors. As you view the amazing cars, you will also enjoy the amazing entertainment of ROCKIN' ROBIN as she plays your favorite songs. INTERESTED IN REGISTERING YOUR VEHICLE FOR THIS EVENT?
